Infrastructure

The University has a lush green campus spread over 25 acres at Selaqui, Dehradun. It has around 2.3 lakhs sq.ft. of built-up area with academic blocks, workshops, laboratories, faculty rooms, auditorium, seminar halls, computer labs with computing facility, library, canteen, sports and recreation facilities. The campus also provides latest teaching aids and is Wi-Fi eanbled. IUD is being widely recognized as an institution devoted to quality research and teaching. IUD gives utmost importance to Industry-University interface.

A number of full time campus based educational programs are offered in Management, Science, and Technology, Education and Law at Bachelor, Master and at Ph.D. level. dining halls, indoor (Badminton, TT, Squash) and outdoor sports (tennis, football, cricket, basketball, swimming pool) facilities, recreation facilities (Gym, and cultural clubs). It is managed by a team of ful ltime wardens, estate manager and other staff. The clubs are managed by student's services department and faculty. The B School has its own transport facility; clinic round the clock with to beds and 4 doctors with 2 ambulances etc. The auditorium has f eatures like step sitting arrangements. The hall has a sitting capacity of 300 people. The Open Air Quadrilateral has a stage and sitting arrangements for conducting activities.

Library Facilities

The campus has well-stocked library. Students have access to the fi nest selecti on of contemporary books and journals which supplement the prescribed reference books and textbooks. The library is augmented with books, periodicals, journals, magazines and other publicati ons on a regular basis.

Computing Facilities

The campus is provided with the necessary latest hardware and soft ware infrastructure to cater to the computi ng needs of all students, faculty and the training needs of informati on technology related courses. It is equipped with Servers and terminals with multi ple operati ng systems enabling a Client - Server environment. High speed Internet connecti vity is provided to all students.

Seminars

Students may parti cipate in seminars on diff erent topics and make presentati ons of the same in the class. These are done under the guidance of the faculty to hone the reading, summarizing and presentati on skills of the students apart from inculcati ng the reading habit in students.

IT Infrastructure

The University emphasizes on the use of IT for teaching and in its operations. Consequently, it has deployed modern IT hardware and software on campus. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled There are around 250 desktops (Processors: core i5, RAM: 4GB, HDD, 500GB ) with the latest software for the IT lab, faculty and staff.
The University provides photocopying, scanning and printing facilities both for the students and for the faculty & staff.

Technology Infrastructure

The university has Wi-Fi connectivity on the campus. Students have the options of using internet access anywhere on the campus. The IT labs are equipped with the latest software and hardware. The university has 15 Mbps internet bandwidth for the use of students, faculty and staff. The internet facility has been provided to all the students for their academic and researches work. Computers are provided to all teaching staff in their rooms. This year, 82 Lenovo desktops (Processors: core i5, RAM: 4GB, HDD, 500GB ) with the latest software were procured for the IT lab, faculty and staff.155 desktops were upgrade and the Wi-Fi connectivity too was upgrade with improved bandwidth . IUD provides photocopying and printing facilities both for the student and for the faculty staff. A separate facility is provide for the students within the IUD campus. Similarly, students and faculty also have been access to document scanning and CD writing facilities.
